(Investing in Cameroon, the mag of the Cameroonian economy) – CarDispo. This is how Bruno Soufo (photo), a young promoter of the Cameroonian start-up Novazen, baptized his find. It is an application that allows its users to book location-based taxis from their mobile phones or the Internet. It is, maintains the promoter of Novazen, the very first application of this type in Cameroon and in the entire Central Africa region.
The prices charged by the taxis of the Novazen network are almost the same as those approved by the Cameroonian public authorities. That is to say 3,000 CFA francs and 5,000 CFA francs, depending on whether you are taking a race or a deposit for an ordinary taxi or VIP vehicle. According to Bruno Soufo, the CarDispo service will officially start between November and December 2015 in the two main Cameroonian cities of Yaoundé and Douala.
According to Novazen, which will then extend CarDipo to the whole of Cameroon and eyeing the entire Central African region, a new version of the application is currently in development. It will, we learn, inform users in real time about the traffic situation in the various cities of the country. This will allow them to avoid axes paralyzed by traffic jams.
