Ulrich NDILIRA ROTAM, that’s his name, this Chadian international specialist in oil fields and researcher in physics / cosmology, has just set up a machine capable of collecting and storing rainwater for various uses: agriculture, reforestation , consumption for rural and urban households, and above all allows to increase the water level of Lake Chad: a solution to climate change.

Indeed, during a dissemination seminar which takes place at CEFOD N’djamena, the young researcher wanted to present the results of his nine (9) years of research under the name: SOYOS PROJECT FOR GREEN DEVELOPMENT , which spans four areas, among others: the SOYOS Project for agriculture, fish farming and arboriculture which aims to collect and store rainwater in a “SOYOS Farm” in order to be used for practicing rural activities continuously, thereby reducing food insecurity.

The SOYOS Project for the supply of water to rural and urban populations makes it possible to give water to households in provinces and urban businesses through “SOYOS Water Stations”.

The SOYOS Project component to save Lake Chad is the one that aims to provide a very large amount of water thanks to the SOYOS machine and its technical components to increase the waters of the Lake basin. There are three contributions: installing several SOYOS Sites each containing several machines in Cameroon, Nigeria, the Central African Republic and Chad to collect rainwater, the second contribution consists in recovering the overflowed and flooded water lines . The third contribution makes it possible to choose the cities victims of flooding, example city of N’djaména, to install a technique with gutters on large houses and to recover rainwater with its techniques. All these three inputs will be transferred via pipelines and pumps to the Lake Chad basin.

Finally, the last part is the SOYOS Project for reforestation, which aims to fight against desertification and global warming, an ingenious and advantageous solution using the SOYOS WATER SPRAYER capable of watering hectares in some record time, this component will allow Chad and other countries to plant and maintain millions of trees in a few years, to overcome the advance of the desert and respond to global warming, strengthen the green belt …

It should be noted that such an innovative project, mainly ecological water which is of a general nature and of national and international interest, which moreover allows to create several jobs, must benefit from the contribution of everyone especially of actors of political life, it is in this sense that concludes the initiator of the SOYOS project: “any technical and financial partnership is welcome for its implementation and its popularization” he said in his closing remarks of the dissemination seminar, in front of the various members of international organizations and programs invited to this occasion. To be continued…
