The University of Abomey-Calavi, the main university and scientific public education structure in Benin launched, not an incubator, but a set of incubators to help solve the problem of unemployment and underemployment of young people graduates.
Consisting of six incubators specializing in different fields, the park will host 40 relevant business ideas. The candidates who will carry out these projects will be able to follow technical workshops on entrepreneurial culture, project formulation and in-depth study of ideas in order to develop projects and a fundable business plan.
Each year, the universities of Benin, and mainly that of Abomey-Calavi, endorse the academic career of thousands of young people with a diploma which, in one in three cases, will fill the bottom of a drawer for many years. Thanks to the park, the University of Abomey-Calavi and its partners hope to reverse the unemployment curve in the long term and encourage free enterprise.
