Wanda People, today let’s discover this young Cameroonian with an unusual job here, Christian Ebong, the first African racing driver.
At 15, Christian Ebong decides to take all the risks, and leaves his family in Cameroon to try his luck in France. He continued his studies there, and at the same time began competition in regional rally cross in 2000.
Without having ever driven a racing car or karting, Christian is a finalist in France after a first season in Rally-Cross and wins the championship the following year.
A little lost in this very closed world where he is unknown to anyone, the young pilot will however continue to progress. In 2004, he was admitted to the prestigious Auto Sport Academy in France. For lack of financial partners, the doors of the school will not be opened to him. Regardless, the pilot has an iron will and waits for his time. He participated in several competitions, at the end of which his peers recognized his exceptional performance, his professionalism and his meticulous temperament.
Christian Ebong pursues his career plan and is surrounded by a team at the height of his objectives and his potential.
He recently signed with the Racing Eagles for the coming seasons in the English League (British GT), in an AUDI R8 LMS. He is still planning to drive in endurance.
Christian Ebong is the first African racing driver and aspires to become a Formula 1 racer as long as he finds financial support wishing to bet on his talent.
