The Entreprenarium foundation launched the BFR (Booster les Femmes Résilientes) a program whose objective is to support 100 women in Gabon, Rwanda and Senegal in the development of their business by offering them 6 weeks of training. At the end of this training, the 30 most promising projects will receive funding at the rate of 10 projects per country.
The foundation, created in July 2014 by Rwandan Kristine Ngiriye, former director general of the Central Africa office of Performances Management Consulting, aims to equip these women with the skills and resources necessary to help them succeed in the creation and development of ‘a small or medium-sized business.
The program consists of course sessions and workshops focused mainly on the Lean Startup methodology, on innovation, as well as management and business creation techniques. With the BFR, the Entreprenarium Foundation offers a practical approach that will allow participants to acquire solid knowledge on each of the proposed themes. In addition, the program includes interactive exercises to consolidate their newly acquired knowledge with practical application.
With a shared management center, training workshops and advisory services, the Entreprenarium Foundation offers a full range of tailor-made services to support the creation of viable and innovative SMEs on the continent. Since its creation, the Entreprenarium has trained 700 young aspiring entrepreneurs and has supported companies such as Shell, Total, Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations in the development and monitoring and evaluation of their programs dedicated to entrepreneurship.
