Guinean project leaders and entrepreneurs in the spotlight on April 26

The HUB Africa pitch arrives for the first time in the Republic of Guinea and offers local startups and young entrepreneurs the opportunity to put their project to the test and give themselves a chance for funding. The Pitch HUB Africa also offers them the opportunity to meet potential investors and have a first feedback in the form of written feedback, taking up the strengths / weaknesses of the project with the recommendations of the jury. At the end of a competition in which any African project leader and start-up can participate, the 3 best projects are chosen from each country to take part in the high mass scheduled for Casablanca on May 4 and 5.
Aboubacar Sidiky Doumbouya salutes the passage of the Pitch in Guinea, believing that “it is a pole extended to Guinea to break with the economic isolation which the country has suffered in some way for decades”. “This is a new challenge that young entrepreneurs in Guinea must appropriate and take up, Guinea is full of enormous multidimensional potential that is still under-exploited,” he says to the young entrepreneurs.

The Pitch HUB Africa as a catalyst and revealer of entrepreneurial talents.

“Africa has talent!” This is the phrase that comes up the most since the launch of the 2017 edition of Pitch HUB Africa last January. This year, the Pitch HUB Africa will have succeeded in expanding its field of intervention three times more, thanks to institutional partners who believe in African youth and entrepreneurship such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Morocco Cooperation. , Maroc Export, the Caisse Centrale de Garantie (CCG, Maroc), CJD International, SERIOUS FACTORY, AFINEETY, BDO, AFRIQUE CHALLENGE, but also local partners such as the Ivorian Ministry of Entrepreneurship, Handicrafts and Promotion of SMEs, CAPDEV Côte d’Ivoire, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Abidjan-Plateau, JA Gabon, the Association of Young Entrepreneurs of Cameroon (AJECAM), the Eco Media Group (Morocco), Fraternité Matin (Côte d’Ivoire), Groupe Futurs Médias (Senegal), and Inspirations Eco (Morocco).
Thanks to these committed partners, the organizers (NGE IMPACT and MAROC EXPORT) have succeeded in the challenge of democratizing as much as possible the chances of young entrepreneurs. “The pitch aims to identify future projects and startups from across the continent, catalyze innovation and accelerate the culture of entrepreneurship. This year we have achieved an important step by investing in new countries such as Gabon, Cameroon and Guinea in addition to Côte d’Ivoire and Senegal. And each time, we come away with indescribable satisfaction and happiness ”, rejoices Alioune GUEYE, Managing Director of NGE Impact and General Commissioner of HUB Africa.

Beautiful startups from Cameroon and Gabon are joining those from Senegal and Côte d’Ivoire, while waiting for Conakry.

The recent stages of Libreville and Yaoundé were “a beautiful flood” for the road show of the Pitch HUB Africa 2017. These stages, as much as that of Dakar and Abidjan, made it possible to discover wonderful startups which confirm a real collective entrepreneurial emergence. and innovative from the continent.
Dakar, the first stage of the Road-show made it possible to select three projects: “The Dance Hall”, an urban dance school in Senegal dedicated to amateurs, “Bay-Tech”, a web mobile application and USSD (Additional service for data unstructured) which aims to guide farmers on the choice of their crops, and “PAPS_APP”, a geo-localized on-demand delivery application in Africa, based both on the constitution of customer networks and on the algorithm “Best match” and making it possible to offer customers the delivery person who is most suited to them. During the second stage, Abidjan, three other startups joined the caravan: three other projects namely Tyegro-CI, Youngpower and Databank.

Libreville and Yaoundé at the heart of digital

Libreville and Yaoundé, which hosted the event at the beginning of April for the first time, made it possible to discover new talents with revolutionary projects. In Gabon, the following were distinguished: Ndong Zomo Joël, the bearer of the “Pay’Onet” project, a mobile application for the payment of municipal taxes and fines (winner of the Grand Prize for Excellence); Essono Ngoua Laurain with his “Elam” project, a website dedicated to educational guidance, and Maki Ahmed Avicenne for his “Terroir G” project, dedicated to the transformation, promotion and marketing of Odika made in Gabon.
The Yaoundé stage was not the rest. The winners and the stages of the pitch hub

Each of the stages has received between fifteen and twenty projects, all of which have real potential to flourish. The Senegalese, Moroccan, Gabonese, Ivorian, Cameroonian and Guinean winners will therefore engage in a competition, the Grand Pitch Hub Africa scheduled for Casablanca on May 4 and 5 with all the other entrepreneurs selected in Africa. As a result, the 5 best projects will integrate the Afeenity crowdfunding platform and will benefit from the best advice and financing as part of the development of their business.
“Africa emerges through its youth who have realized that they are the guarantors of the future of the continent. We are happy and very confident of these young people who take charge, undertake and who need to be supervised, supported and financed. It has been our commitment for six years to encourage them on this dynamic, to provide them with advice, to offer them the necessary support, in synergy and alongside public and private institutions from our various countries, but also from elsewhere ”, concludes Alioune GUEYE, General Commissioner of HUB Africa.
