Forum dedicated to African entrepreneurship, the Land of African Business (Lab Africa) will present on October 22 and 23 in Paris, for its second edition, four prizes of 3,000 to 5,000 euros rewarding start-ups from the continent.

Registrations were opened on July 11, the Parisian think-tank Ateliers de la Terre, which is organizing the event, announced in a press release. Participants will have until August 15 to submit their innovative project to the jury.

The selection criteria are similar to the first edition, which was organized on the sidelines of the International Conference on Climate: the start-up of less than five years must be carried by an African entrepreneur of less than 35 years and report ” a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy.

Support for registrants and winners

In addition, its model must be duplicable on the African continent. At the end of the preselection phase (the first edition had seen 480 companies try their luck, and sixty passed the preselections), the successful candidates will be able to take advantage of the event “to present their business model, meet partners and investors and benefit from networking opportunities ”, details the press release.

Support that will go even further for the winning projects. They will be able to benefit from assistance in matters of management, law, accounting, finding investors, training, coaching, marketing, communication and mentoring.
