Yet, as in other areas, Africa could turn a constraint into an opportunity, with new technologies making it possible to deploy solutions that are simpler and at lower cost than what has been put in place for decades in developed countries. Innovations at the frontier of new technologies and finance did not wait until 2017 to mark their impact on the financing of economic activity in Africa.
