(Agence Ecofin) – Mauritian business services company ABAX has officially established itself in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. This new office, which has a regional mission, will serve as a hub for all of West and Central Francophone Africa.

For Richard Arlove (photo), Chief executive officer of ABAX, “we support companies that want to invest in African countries. In doing so, we see that French-speaking Africa is a region in full growth, with the Ivory Coast as its engine “.

“The establishment of ABAX in Ivory Coast allows for better proximity to local entrepreneurs. But also makes it possible to facilitate the decisions of investment funds and companies which are domiciled in Mauritius or Dubai and which want to invest in the region, using the Ivory Coast as a hub, “he points out.

This seventh establishment complements the existing network of ABAX offices, located in Ebène (Mauritius), Dubai, Johannesburg, London, Nairobi and Singapore. This allows Mauritian society to strengthen its presence in Africa. And more particularly in the West African sub-region which occupies a fairly significant weight in its client portfolio.

According to Anjeelee Chinamal, Regional Director for West and Central Africa Francophone “At ABAX, we already manage $ 24 billion under administration. Which represents nearly a thousand customers. And West Africa represents 40% of our portfolio. “

In addition, this office will not only better serve existing customers, but also better meet the needs of companies active in Africa, including those from France and Europe looking for an entry point on the continent. .

Note that the Abidjan hub is headed by Anjeelee Chinamal who has over 12 years of professional experience as an ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) chartered accountant and seasoned business developer.

She is accompanied by Richard Somet who has actively participated since 2014 in the establishment of ABAX in Ivory Coast. With 20 years of experience in France, Ivory Coast, Morocco and Mauritius, he is an expert in business networks and has worked for several years to bring together emerging African markets and the Mauritius Financial Center.

The team is completed by Laurent Chabrut, an economist by training and communications specialist. He was also deputy economic advisor to the French Ambassador to Mauritius, Comoros and Seychelles. It focuses on business flows between Europe and Africa.

As a reminder, ABAX is an international provider of fiduciary, advisory and business services. Its core business lies in maximizing shareholder and entrepreneurial value through the structuring and administration of companies engaged in cross-border trade and investment flows in emerging markets, particularly in Africa.

The firm has a team of some 250 bilingual employees made up of professionals in the fields of accounting, finance, legal secretariat, governance, management and law.
