Greenwash Africa is a project of the Senegalese entrepreneur Marieme Mbaye, which consists of ecological cleaning of vehicles. Unlike traditional washing methods, Greenwash does not require water. It uses a proprietary polymer-based technical process that lifts the surface dirt off the paint and encapsulates it in a lubricant. The dirt is then removed using a soft cloth, without a single drop of water and without the slightest scratch.
Thanks to its innovative concept, Greenwash takes up the challenge of rational use of water and reducing wastage during vehicle cleaning sessions. Indeed, a Greenwash wash corresponds to 200 liters of saved drinking water.
The first African chain of fully ecological car wash centers, Greenwash Africa is the 2016 winner of the Great Entrepreneur competition, a competition organized by the British Embassy in Senegal in partnership with the British Council.
Marieme Mbaye plans to set up her business all over Africa.
