Launched in Ivory Coast in April 2016. mTick is a platform that allows Ivorian travelers to buy their bus ticket directly from their smartphone or PC connected to the internet.
Introduce yourself and your journey
My name is Abdoulaye Bill Diara, co-founder of mTick. I am 32 years old and 8 years of career in different structures in France. Former Sales Director France at Leguide (Lagardère Group), Business Developer Twenga, Head of Partnerships at Hellopro.
What is your project and its mission?

mTick is a ticket marketplace. The platform is SIMPLICITY. It allows users to easily find the carrier that offers the best value for a given destination, then choose and pay for the ticket without moving. Our mission is to make life easier for our users and put the “customer” at the center of our concerns.
How did you get the idea to start your business?
Imagine: you are in Abidjan (many other cities in sub-Saharan Africa for that matter) and want to reach by car Korhogo, in the North, Daloa, in the West, or whatever. Previously, you would first have to go to the bus station to buy your ticket. Queuing, stress, uncertainty of obtaining a ticket from the company wanted and at the right time … A real hassle before the trip!
To remedy this situation, we simply created the mTick SOLUTION.
Can you introduce your team?
I am supported by three engineers Olivier, Michelle and Pierre with whom we co-founded the startup. We work with 3 full-time employees and use temporary employees to absorb the influx of strong periods.
What are the next steps ?
We are looking for funds to boost the activity within the Ivory Coast, but also and especially to move to the level of the sub-region and develop other services peripheral to our activity.
What do you need and how can AfrikaTech help you?
