Three teams of three people each were selected on March 11, 12 and 13, at the end of the first Startup Weekend Libreville, a 54-hour event designed to create a startup, to compete directly in the Grand Prix final of the Excellence 2016 which will take place in Libreville on July 1, 2016 in the Gabonese capital.

JA Gabon, NGO organizing the event said that last Sunday, the finalists were drawn from 21 teams made up of 3 to 4 young people with different profiles (coders, developers, salespeople or even marketers). Competitors pitched their project before a jury made up of influential figures from the Gabonese digital world (Aninf, Airtel money, Sodepsi, OIF, Excellform, Gabon coin).

Helped by volunteer experts, the participants worked on the different stages necessary for the development of a digital project (the economic model, market research, application development).

At the end, the first place went to the “Inya Online” project, an online ordering application with delivery. Second place went to “Payon Net”, an online tax and patent payment application to fight corruption. And on the third step of the podium, clear place for “Inenga”, a web and mobile application for tutoring and personalized lessons applied to the Gabonese educational program.

In order to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship in Gabon, the President of the Republic, Ali Bongo Ondimba, wanted to make the Grand Prize for excellence 2nd edition, one of the first actions of his foundation for youth and education.

CEO AfrikaTech

Rejoignez-nous ! LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/boubacardiallo
