Candel Company Ltd, the Nigerian leader in agricultural inputs, has announced that it is about to begin exports to Ghana and then to West Africa. Candel Group President Charles Anudu revealed the information during an appraisal visit to one of the company’s factories by the Ghana Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

During this stage prior to obtaining the authorization to export to the Ghanaian market, Mr. Anudu indicated that the export of phytosanitary products and foliar fertilizer to Ghana marked the beginning of a new era for its business. “As a company, we have been present in Ghana for around 15 years and we market products manufactured in Europe and Asia on this market. But now we want to export our products made-in-Nigeria which have been manufactured taking into account the specificities encountered by the West African farmer. “He affirmed.

For his part, SamAdu-Kumi, who heads the department responsible for the control and management of chemicals at the EPA, applauded this initiative. “Most of the agrochemicals that enter our countries are below standards. In our sub-region, we have only one factory. So Candel’s plant and the standards it meets are a welcome development that will help improve the Nigerian economy and have an impact on other West African countries, “he said.

Candel Company Ltd executives stressed that their expansion would not only stop in Ghana but would soon target other countries in the subregion.

Rejoignez-nous ! LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/boubacardiallo
