As part of the second edition of the Viva Technology fair, Africangels, partner of the event, is launching a challenge aimed at startups and companies. Through this innovative challenge, Africangels proposes to accelerate the development of the most promising companies on the African continent.
Viva Technology is a major global innovation event that brings together in Paris several thousand startups, managers, investors and opinion leaders from around the world to invest, collaborate and exchange ideas. It offers the opportunity to meet investors, startups and large groups to build solid and lasting relationships but also to co-innovate and grow your business.
Called “An opportunity to accelerate your growth in Africa”, the Africangels Challenge which will take place in 2 phases, is open to companies with high potential having a positive impact:

The Online Challenge (until May 15, 2017)

  • A Challenge Award on the Vivatechnology.com platform
  • Startups apply via the link https://challenges.vivatechnology.com/en/challenges/africangels-1

The Challenge during VIVA TECHNOLOGY (June 15-17, 2017)

  • A 1h30 presence in a dedicated “pitch zone”
  • Presentation of partners
  • Pitch of selected startups
  • Awards

The selection of projects will be made by a jury made up of Africangels, Vivatech and investors.

The challenge aims to allow participating companies to connect with a global community of innovators (startups, project leaders, developers …), to find new French and foreign partners and investors and especially to gain visibility at the show thanks to to an unprecedented operation.

The announcement of the winners will be made during the VivaTech trade fair and after the finalists’ pitches.

Comme beaucoup de personnes j’ai connu l’Afrique à travers des stéréotypes : l’Afrique est pauvre, il y a la guerre, famine… Je suis devenu entrepreneur pour briser ces clichés et participer à la construction du continent.
