23-year-old Nigerian inventor Ayoola Olaoluwa designed a drone with camera and a flying car using local materials. A feat for the one who just graduated in Computer Science at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH).

Two inventions tested and presented to the public that are the pride of Olaoluwa, passionate about aeronautics since his childhood. “After my Bac, I wanted to study aeronautical engineering but at the time, this sector was not available in any Nigerian university. So I opted for computer science, which is a branch of aeronautics, “said the young inventor from Ogbomosho in Oyo state.

A passion that determined him to never give up, despite the lack of means. “To make the drone, I had to order the batteries online, not because there are none on the Nigerian market but because they are not powerful enough. The controller was originally designed for a toy, but I reconfigured it to control both the drone and the flying car, “he said in detail on the hardware used.

Efforts for a result up to par. The drone, like the flying car, can fly 300 meters in the sky.

Nigerian engineers now hope to pass their Masters in aeronautics as quickly as possible.

CEO AfrikaTech

Rejoignez-nous ! LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/boubacardiallo
