Introduce yourself and your journey (briefly)
I am Dr. MONKAM TSOKAM Eloi Hermann, General practitioner and also computer scientist and writer.
After obtaining my baccalaureate, I studied computer science in a high school in the city of Douala crowned three years later by a degree in Computer Science. Then, I had the support of the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmaceutical Sciences of the University of Douala where I obtained seven (07) years later my Diploma of Doctor of Medicine.
Similarly, I am the author of the book “Le Modificateur d’Avenir”, which was published Editions Edilivre in France and was appreciated by many Internet users.
Currently, I am the founder of the telemedical application “That health again” abbreviated thea.
What is your project and its mission?
Our project is to develop and extend the telemedical application “That health again” in the whole world in general and the African continent in particular. In other words, to allow any patient regardless of their geographical position to discuss in REAL TIME and FREE with a medical professional health via a smartphone or computer without necessarily having to move.
For example, the patient can download the “That health again” telemedicine application on their smartphone via Google Playstore or through www.thea.goodbarber.com and talk freely with a health professional.
How did you get the idea to start your business?
The idea came to me since the 9th grade class to one day create my own business. In 2015, when I was tending towards the end of my studies in medicine, I asked myself a question of knowing, considering the remoteness of certain populations of the health structures, of the people living in zones very isolated and which do not have access. to doctors “how to help these people to have a medical opinion, even to discuss with a health professional without having to move”. From that moment, I put together this application; Which is official since April 17, 2017.
Can you introduce your team?
The thea medical team is currently composed of 29 doctors, 04 pharmacists from Cameroon, Burkina Faso, Mali and Senegal and two laboratory technicians.
In addition to this team, there are also 03 online assistants, 02 computer specialists and a lawyer who guide patients.
What is the problem solved by Thea?

The telemedical application “That health again” abbreviated thea comes to solve the problem of the distance that could separate populations remote hospital structures.
As another resolution, it comes to fight the self-medication which is a factor very widespread in our African populations. Our populations will now be able to seek the advice and advice of doctors, health professionals before any purchase of a drug, this at the pharmacy.
What are the next steps ?
It is important to note that today we have about 30,000 visitors and 6,000 patients coming from Cameroon, Togo, Benin, Ivory Coast, Mali, Senegal, Morocco, Chad, Botwana …
Our main goal is to have 1,000,000 African patients in 5 years.
Similarly, we plan to translate the application into several other languages, including Arabic, Swali, and Portuguese.
In addition, develop other features of the application, including blood bank services and Appointments for in-depth physical examinations by specialists.
Work closely with health services and physicians in other African countries and around the world to improve the quality of care.

We have several problems now:
-Lack of visibility
-Lack of funding to be able to motivate this team that is fighting as best as it can to provide FREE medical aid to the African populations and ensure the costs of computer maintenance.
