Before creating Medtech, Bertin Nahum worked for a decade for large companies where he developed robotic assistance solutions for surgery including Computer Motion Inc. (cardiac surgery, urology…), Integrated Surgical Systems Inc. (orthopedic surgery) and IMMI SA (neurosurgery).
Bertin Nahum first invented a robot called BRIGIT ™ that helps doctors in orthopedic surgery by providing mechanical support for sawing bones with an arm that guides the surgeon and helps him make precise cuts. Zimmer Inc., the world leader in orthopedic surgery, purchased the patents from Medtech in 2006.
In 2010, he created ROSA ™, a robot with a robotic arm that can help surgeons perform delicate operations on the brain. User-friendly and precise, ROSA ™ is now used in hospitals around the world for brain surgery.
Thanks to ROSA ™, Bertin Nahum was ranked 4th most revolutionary High-Tech Entrepreneur in the world by the Discovery Series in 2012.
