Less than four months after the announcement of the 2018 laureates, the Orange Social Entrepreneurship Prize competition in Africa and the Middle East gives the cover and opens the applications for 9th edition on March 11th.
To be one of the three 2019 winners, among 51 start-up companies selected around the world, all you have to do is register before May 30, 2019. In addition to the national prizes, the winners will receive respectively € 25,000, € 15,000 and € 10,000, and will benefit from personalized support provided by professionals in the creation and financing of young companies for six months.
Of course, if POESAM is aimed at any organization with an innovative project based on information and communication technologies to improve the living conditions of people in Africa and the Middle East (in areas such as education, health, agriculture, mobile payment or sustainable development), certain criteria must be met:
- to be a student, employee or entrepreneur over 21,
- the initiative must be less than three years old,
- the project should concern Botswana, Burkina-Faso, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Egypt, Guinea Bissau, Guinea Conakry, Jordan Liberia, Madagascar, Mali, Morocco, Niger, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Tunisia.
