In order to work for the democratization of access to knowledge and employability of young people in the field of ICT across the country, Orange Senegal launches the “PASS EDU”. This new mobile offer offered at a social rate, to all Senegalese students, will allow them to access training content developed by the UVS and other major players in online education.

This commitment brings immediate solutions to the great challenge of training millions of young people and professionals in the digital business.

Thus with the “PASS EDU” the UVS will allow students to follow their teachings now within the national network of open digital space located in the main regional capitals of the country. According to Professor Moussa LO, coordinator of the UVS, it is also the materialization of the collaboration between the two partners to support the insertion of the students through a program of coaching and immersion for the benefit of UVS students .

This is also an opportunity for the UVS to offer content to all Sonatel customers via an “Education Pass”. With the free student package in mobile and internet, where the state and the UVS contribute in the largest part, negotiations with mobile operators will be facilitated for greater connectivity of learners.

The “PASS EDU” in the training of students in Senegal.

The development of the country must be supported by telephone operators. It must be accelerated in the field of training with the number of students that continues to increase year by year. That is why, a large part must be deployed in technology to boost entrepreneurship in universities and boost training.

With the “PASS EDU” in the “Open Digital Spaces” Orange operator opens its doors to students of the UVS to enable them to perform internships and learn coding with the Sonatel Academy. This requires digital acceleration in Senegal.

According to Mame Penda NIANG of Orange’s marketing department, the “PASS EDU” should encourage students to train in entrepreneurship. This pass is reserved for the content of partners including the UVS. Online courses are offered to students and professionals.

And regarding access to these courses, the interested party must create his account, to hold his username and password.

To meet the challenge of training, accessibility and digital inclusion must be expanded and open to other universities in Senegal.
