Global Fire Power is an American site which publishes specific publications in the field of defense. It has published military statistics on the countries of the world for many years. The military strength of each state is examined by the site’s experts. This assessment is based on the study of several parameters summarized in eight main sections:

  • Logistics infrastructures: passable airports, coverage of road and rail networks, ports and terminals
    Geography: State area, waterways
  • Natural resources: availability of fuel to supply the armed forces, oil production and hydrocarbon reserves
  • The human resource: population of the State, number of armed forces, those who are active and those in reserve
  • Air force: planes, helicopters and other air defense devices
  • The naval force: submarines, aircraft carriers and other devices
  • The army deployed on the ground: missiles on the ground, tanks and other artillery
  • Finances: budget allocated to the defense forces, external debt, etc.
  • Military power is assessed in terms of the Power Index 0.0000 score. A score close to 0 reveals a strong military power.

Egypt
