Developed by the Kenyan company, Angaza Bona, the LED-type solar television has a 19-inch screen. It comes with a decoder and is powered by a car battery. The 20 Ah (ampere-hour) capacity is connected to solar panels by cables.
The installation also provides two 3-watt LED solar lights to light households and ports for charging mobile phones. The whole is protected by a charge regulator.
The company, created in 2010 by Kennedy Lamwenya, aims, on the one hand, to reduce the human, financial and environmental costs associated with the use of kerosene lamps in Kenya and, on the other hand, to allow rural households who do not have access to electricity to enjoy the benefits of the cathode ray tube.
