YUV (Yattassaye Universal) is a latest generation smartphone intended for young active students and keen on technology to facilitate the daily exchanges of this segment of the population addicted to communication. It has a 4-inch touch screen and an Android 4.2 operating system.
“Abroad, we imagine Mali as a country with very little connection, set back from everything. While here, there are 20 million SIM cards for 14 million inhabitants. Mobile penetration is very, very important here, which means that there are opportunities, a market to be created and developed locally, “Yattassaye told Tech Africa.
The promoters of the brand aim, by 2017, to complete the assembly of Yuv Smart on Malian territory because, so far, it is assembled in Asia.
