Thirty African startups, four of which represent Morocco, were selected to present their technologies to the world at the 7th edition of DEMO Africa to be held on October 18 and 19, 2018, in Casablanca, announced the organizers.

The selection is the culmination of a few months of innovation tours, city visits and virtual arbitrations, said the management team of DEMO Africa, in a statement, relayed by the site EINPresswire.com.

The selected startups represent the current generation of innovators and solutions to the problems of Africa and are ready to present the best of African ingenuity through technology, entrepreneurship and social impact at Studio Arts Live of Casablanca, notes the same source.

The four selected Moroccan startups are “Atlan Space”, an artificial intelligence-based UAV technology that tracks illegal fishing in African waters, Casky, the world’s first artificial intelligence platform based on BlockChain that offers users the ability to earn valuable assets / income by driving safely through a rewards-based system, “Kourtim”, a logistics management system that provides real-time monitoring of all stages of road freight transportation, and “Moldiag”, an R & D platform from a state-of-the-art medical diagnostic laboratory.

The thirty finalist start-ups will also participate in a six-week virtual bootcamp in preparation for donor engagements at the main event, as well as a two-day physical bootcamp as a preamble to the DEMO Africa 2018 demo.

Five finalists will be selected among the best start-ups to participate in the 2019 edition of the Lions @ frica Innovation Tour in Silicon Valley, USA. These DEMO ambassadors, says the same source, will be the startups with the greatest potential for development in pan-African and international markets, a mature understanding of their market-product suitability, a formidable team and a commercially viable solution.

From Europe to the Middle East to Asia to Silicon Valley, the DEMO Africa event will also welcome global investors and international luminaries, venture capitalists, business angels and industry leaders. ecosystems for two days of quality exchanges, networking and B2B and roundtables organized by the African Business Angels Network.
