The group specializing in remittances, Wari, has just joined the Africa Commission of the American Chamber of Commerce. The Senegalese financial services platform, already well established in Africa, wants to establish itself as a prominent place in the global market, especially in the United States.
The Wari group that nothing seems to be able to stop has just taken a new step in its conquest of the world market. The aggregator of digital and versatile solutions has just announced, this Tuesday, July 4, its membership in the Africa Commission of the American Chamber of Commerce.

“This membership in the Africa Commission of the American Chamber of Commerce demonstrates the international scope that Wari takes in its activities and the economic strength in which the African continent finds itself,” Kabirou Mbodje CEO of Wari said in a press release.

Conquering the world market

Referring to the continent’s growth prospects, the founder of Wari, who also becomes a member of the Board of Directors of the Commission, added: “Africa is creating the economy of tomorrow, especially in the digital world” . By joining the Africa Commission of the American Chamber of Commerce, the Senegalese thus joins the court of the giants of African business, alongside the Nigerian Aliko Dangote, CEO of Dangote Group or the Angolan Maria Abrantes “empress” of Banco Prestigio.

And in this club, Wari is welcome as confirmed by Scott Eisner, president of the Africa Commission and vice-president of the American Chamber of Commerce: “We are proud to welcome Wari and his founder Kabirou Mbodje to the Africa Commission. of the American Chamber of Commerce… ”.

For Scott Eisner, Wari’s economic model is a benchmark for all companies, especially African, insofar as the Senegalese specialist in payment, phone credit recharge, pension payment, scholarship or salary, and money transfer, supports the digital transformation of the continent’s economies.

A business opportunity for Wari

The Commission which pleads for a significant African accent in Washington’s trade agenda is an economic El Dorado, a favorable environment for African businessmen, since facilitating the internationalization of African companies, especially their integration into the American market, is one of the flagship ambitions of the Africa Commission of the American Chamber of Commerce.

It should be remembered that the American Chamber of Commerce is the most important federation in the world. It is an association of several million global companies. A fertile ground for the Senegalese financial inclusion accelerator, which is positioning itself as a leading player in Africa and which is now developing internationally.

Already present in 60 countries “convinced that African digital technology is a carrier of growth and global solutions”, the “slot factory” Wari, made in Senegal in 2008, acquired at the beginning of the year, “out of patriotism”, Tigo, the second largest mobile telephone operator in the land of teranga (hospitality). Today, with its 500,000 direct and affiliated service points in several countries and hundreds of partner banks, Wari has more than two hundred million users and has more ambitions: the Senegalese group is in negotiations for its ‘offer SIAB bank in Togo and, apparently, nothing is excessive for Wari.
