An important transition from the economic model is felt all over the world. To cope with it, it will be necessary to demonstrate a great capacity for adaptation. And to adapt, you have to get started! But how ? We often hear this phrase: “I want to do business but I don’t know where to start”. And it is undeniable that the biggest difficulty in a project is its start. Therefore, this article will tell you about the three most important questions to ask yourself before you start a business.

Do you have an innovative and sustainable project?
It goes without saying that to undertake, you need a project. The trend is towards entrepreneurship and therefore everyone is an entrepreneur. To stand out, you must have a project but not only. You need to have an innovative and sustainable project. These aspects are very often overlooked. Creating an economic activity supposes that this activity does not exist. It is in this sense that the innovative nature of entrepreneurship comes into play. We undertake to meet a personal or social need. In addition, many define entrepreneurship as the act of undertaking and creating an economic activity. It goes further than that. The project must be tied to a logic of continuity and sustainability. Then the project must be profitable. Hence the need to establish a roadmap, a business plan and a forecast balance sheet. The latter will allow you to forecast all the costs of your project as well as the expected income. You will then be able to know how quickly your business will allow you to recover your investment.

What sector do you want to get into? Is it a carrier?
“I want to do business but I don’t know what.” We have all heard this phrase at least once. It is not about doing business to escape the pre-established salary framework or the office model. Entrepreneurship requires a minimum of common sense, reflection and strategies. What you need to do is find out what sector you want to start in. The choice of the sector is very important in the sense that your entire strategy and your budget depend on this choice. After finding your field and sector of activity, you will have to analyze it in relation to the current economic situation. For example if you are interested in agriculture or animal husbandry, you will have more work and need more strategies than the one who wants to go digital. Thus, in this 21st century, a digital company will have more visibility, a chance to find financing and less expenses as regards professional expenses.

Can you tell what you like to do from what you can do?
Moving towards a growth sector is important, but what is even more important is to differentiate between what you can do and what you like to do. If what you can do is what you love to do, it’s perfect. But if you have knowledge in agriculture and the promising sector in which you are interested is digital, then you are in trouble. Or not ! What you have to do in these cases is to adapt your project to your know-how. What if you are training in digital and you are designing a digitalization project for the primary sector (with regard to agriculture)?

CEO AfrikaTech

Rejoignez-nous ! LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/boubacardiallo
