As part of the Francophone Africa Climate Initiatives program and its South-South cooperation axis, the ocher city hosted the International Youth and Green Entrepreneurship Forum in French-speaking Africa. This event, which brought together 70 people including 45 young entrepreneurs from ten African countries as well as Quebec, and 12 stakeholders aims to promote the exchange of experiences, and the capacity building of non-state actors, mainly young people from West Africa and North Africa.

“The main objective set is the development of a roadmap and an action plan to identify the levers for the promotion and development of Green Entrepreneurship in Francophone Africa” says Meriem HOUZIRE, consultant in sustainable development and coordinator of ICAF.

Remember that this Forum was organized by Alliadev and Igapura, with the financial support of the Swiss Cooperation, from 19 to 21 June 2018, and that it managed to bring together participants from ten countries (Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Congo, Ivory Coast, Gabon, Niger, Morocco, Togo and Tunisia). In addition to the young entrepreneurs, there were representatives of support programs and resources, FabLabs, incubators, platforms and networks of entrepreneurs, cooperation organizations and public institutions (UN Environment, UN Women, UNIDO, African Development Bank, Francophonie Institute for Sustainable Development, Global Compact Local Network …).

CEO AfrikaTech

Rejoignez-nous ! LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/boubacardiallo
