Microsoft corporation and the Association of Mayors of Senegal (Ams) have signed a cooperation agreement to make municipalities in Senegal centers of excellence in the fields of application of the Microsoft CityNext Program.
The convention, signed in the presence of Mahammad Dionne, the Senegalese Prime Minister and Simon Ouattara, the director general of Microsoft for West and Central Africa, aims to give local elected officials the latest advances in software, integrated devices and services, to serve populations. “Thanks to your expertise and experience (…) we will soon be able to benefit from the necessary applications,” said Alioune Sall, president of the AMS.
“We will also make available to mayors a software that will help them better collect the funds from the revenues of the weekly markets and other properties, because they have difficulties in this area (…) We have decided to make available provision of the association of mayors of Senegal products that will allow them to have access to information everywhere in order to be more productive and to serve populations well, “explained Rosso Dieng, commercial director of Microsoft Senegal.
