The Cameroonian government is currently seeking economic operators to invest in 360 industrial projects aimed at locally transforming the region’s raw materials.
The Ministry of Mines, Industry and Technological Development has set up a database of these industrial projects. In the list, we find for example that in the agri-food industry, investors are needed to build ten production units for tomatoes and fruit juice, starch from maize, cassava and semolina, two sugar factories. , the extension of banana factories in Penja, pepper in Moungo, ten milk production units (Tignère, Garoua, Ngaoundéré, Maroua), as many units for local tuber meal (cassava, yam, macabo) , potato, taro …), three pasta production units, etc.
In the field of energy, there are investment opportunities for the construction of five solar panel production units, three solar power plants with injection into the national grid, 30 capture and treatment plants. water with retrocession to the Ministry of Water and Energy, etc.
In health, the government wants four production units for pharmaceutical products (paracetamol, ibuprofen, antimalarials …), three medical syringe production units (plastic medical consumables, complete infusions, syringes), two plastic prosthesis production units (members) , orthopedic prostheses …
The ICT sector requires four computer waste recycling plants, ten computer assembly units and computer consumables (it is a question of making a computer available to all Cameroonians), etc.
