(Agence Ecofin) – With the improvement of Internet connectivity in Senegal, the e-commerce market is gradually gaining momentum. Taking advantage of this growth driven by information and communication technologies, the country’s low rate of banking services and the high rate of mobile penetration, the start-up PayDunya launched on November 26, 2015 its secure payment solution on Internet for individuals and businesses.

Through its online payment platform integrating mobile, PayDunya thus offers the Senegalese populations an easy way to settle invoices for the purchase of goods directly on the Internet, without having to travel. Internet users can also get paid and make online sales, even without having their own website, thanks to the Clic and Pay solution offered by the young company.

For the moment, in Senegal, PayDunya already allows populations to make secure payments online via its platform, with the Orange Money service, the Joni Joni money transfer and electronic payment service and by Visa / bank cards. Mastercard / GIM-Uemoa. To register more users, the start-up says it is currently in discussions with Tigo Cash, Wari and many other payment services. With its secure online payment solution, PayDunya dreams of becoming the Paypal of West Africa.

To achieve its ambitions, PayDunya plans to enter the very dynamic Ivorian e-commerce market during the month of October. The start-up is confident of the success of its online payment platform, which it considers to be “adapted to African realities”. It is gaining market share both on the side of the populations (more and more connected thanks to the mobile but still poorly banked), as on the side of subscribers to conventional banking services.

CEO AfrikaTech

Rejoignez-nous ! LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/boubacardiallo
