Among the companies mentioned in the list of the 100 most promising African startups, Chalkboard has a prominent place in school learning through digital. Miora Randriambeloma, one of its founders, opened her doors to us.
Tell us about your activity with Chalkboard?
Chalkboard is a company specializing in digital school learning. We created it in 2015 with Adrien Bouillot. And so far, things are going well, so we are happy. How is your business developing?
We have almost 1,000 users in Ghana. We have put in place a learning system accessible to all. It can be found on the Play Store and inside this application you can download files related to the school programs in force in the country. Are you confident for the future?
Mobile learning seems to have a bright future in Africa. According to some sources, we had as much as $ 512 million in profits for the entire industry. In addition, you have an increasing number of cell phones in circulation, so that gives us good reason to hope. What is your ambition for 2017?
We hope to continue our momentum. Especially since our start in 2015 was more than promising since we were awarded in the Seedstars competition for Ghana. A competition that rewards the best entrepreneurial creations, particularly in the digital sector.
