The Malian chapter of the Internet Society (ISOC-Mali), conducted a study in collaboration with the Tuwindi foundation on the state of the Internet in Mali and prospects for the future. The report was presented on Saturday June 29, 2019, to the National Employers Council. For the purposes of the study, 20 questions were asked of a sample of 2,000 users (1,000 face-to-face and 1,000 online) mainly in Bamako, for reasons of budget limitation. The study focused on issues related to: costs, slowness, permanence, resilience, availability and speed of the Internet in Mali. The cost of Internet in Mali, only 23.7% think it is affordable. The other 73.13% think the Internet is expensive. The quality of the Internet connection is 56.3% who believe that it is often cut, and 26.8% estimated that it is quite often cut. A minority of 12.6% said they were not cut. Thus, 87% of Internet users, questioned, complain about connection cuts.
