In order to contribute to the development of Côte d’Ivoire in the field of information and communication technologies, the Chinese company Huawei Technologies has promised an investment of 1 million dollars (500 million FCFA) in the country to over the next three years.

The announcement was made on November 27, 2015 by Li Chang Y, its director general, during the reception ceremony by the African Higher School of Information and Communication Technologies (Esatic), from the laboratory of mobile networks. worth 231 million CFA francs, equipped by the telecoms company specializing in ICT solutions.

According to Li Chang Y, “the hour for the development of ICT in Côte d’Ivoire has arrived”. The laboratory offered at Esatic will allow the students of this public school under the supervision of the Ministry of Posts and ICT, to perfect their practical training in various fields of ICT and telecoms such as digital data transmission, frequency management, etc.

Although the mobile network laboratory is not yet fully equipped, the general manager of Esatic, Konaté Adama, has shown confidence in the future. “Certainly we still lack the core of the network and the switching equipment to make it a complete room for mobile networks. But we have no fear of acquiring the heart of the network, “he said.
