Afrikanet GoSat Cameroon and Konnect Africa announced on July 26, 2017 the implementation of their partnership to innovate together and provide high-speed Internet access by satellite, called GoSat. According to their joint press release, the alliance between the advanced satellite technology offered by Konnect Africa and the expertise of Afrikanet GoSat as a supplier recognized for the quality of its customer service will allow the deployment of an Internet connection in urban and rural areas, but also in the most remote localities of Cameroon.
Konnect Africa’s satellite service will in the short term cover two-thirds of the Cameroonian population and will be accessible with high-speed internet “at an affordable price,” says GoSat.

The partnership with Konnect Africa will offer the company the opportunity to explore new services and products for professionals. Afrikanet GoSat will thus enable Konnect Africa to further concretize its commitment to create jobs in Cameroon. In sub-Saharan Africa, for example, more than 340 million people, including 12 million in Cameroon, live more than 50 km from the fiber.
