A new meeting of digital innovation is launched in Casablanca. This is the exhibition “Futur.ES in Africa”, which will be held on March 1 and 2, 2018. “An unprecedented event aimed at stimulating exchanges between African and French digital ecosystems”, underline the organizers, in this case Morocco Numeric Cluster (MNC), Moroccan side and Cap Digital Paris, French side.
The meeting is organized jointly by the two organizations, under the leadership of the Casa-Settat and Ile de France regions. Moreover, the event will be held within the headquarters of the region Casa-Settat Habous district.
On the occasion of a memorandum signed between the two partner regions in December 2016 to promote economic cooperation between the two regions, it was agreed to organize Futur.ES in Africa in Casablanca in 2018 on the model of the Future. .ES in Seine. “The event is intended to be a bridge between the various players in the innovation ecosystem in Morocco, France and Africa,” explains Mehdi Kettani, President of Morocco Numeric Cluster (MNC).
The objective also consists, according to the president of MNC, to increase the Africa-France economic ties via Morocco, hub of the African connectivity and to decipher the stakes of the digital, economic and societal transformation in Morocco and Africa.
On the agenda, two days of meetings and exchanges on the issues of three sectors in full digital transformation: education, health and territories. Open to professionals but also to youth, this event will feature demos, workshops and a series of conferences around issues such as the role of digital in opening up marginalized territories, or the construction of more efficient health systems and inclusive. Exchanges will cross pan-African and international approaches of stakeholders like Navi Radjou, thinker of frugal innovation or Ousmane Ly, director of the Telemedicine Agency of Mali.
This event is also aimed at large companies and start-ups who wish to experiment open innovation and bring out fruitful collaborations. The final selection of Moroccan, African and French start-ups from a call for projects will be made during this month of December 2017.
“Out of 60 applications, we will select thirty or so start-ups from France, Morocco and Africa who will exhibit their know-how,” continues Kettani.

● 1 demo space to allow 30 project leaders to present their initiatives, products or services and to participants to test the latest digital solutions developed in Africa and France.
