The countries of the East African Community (ECA) have called on development partners to roll out a digital health strategic plan. The plan, which runs from 2019 to 2028, aims to transform the provision of health services in capitalization on information and communication technologies to not only improve people’s access to care but also to improve the quality of healthcare services. service in the countries of the ECA.
On December 5, Kenya, Burundi, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda, represented by Libérat Mfumukeko (photo), Secretary General of the East African Community , have launched the call for funding. This was during the official entry into operation of the Eastern Africa Health Research Commission (EAHCR), based in Bujumbura, Burundi.
Created in June 2007, the organization will provide the community with advice on all issues related to health and health research.
