The young Nigerian Saheed Adepoju designed Inye, a tablet with an Android 3.0 system, a front camera of 0.3MegaPixels and a USB port. It can therefore be connected to the Internet via a key.
The tablet is priced at $ 350 compared to about $ 700 for an Apple iPad. Moreover, Saheed’s objective is to offer an affordable tablet for the continental market while keeping a high quality product.
This innovation confirms Africa’s rise in technology, as shown in the 2015 report on Financing African Tech Startups published earlier this week by Forbes. The American magazine revealed that tech companies on the continent have drained US $ 185.79 million in investment over the past year.
