The Africa Code Week will be officially launched this Saturday, October 13, at 09:00, at UCAD 2, the objective of this event is:
- Give African youth access to the tools and IT skills they need to succeed in the 21st century.
- Contribute actively to the rise of the African digital scene, reveal and support the talents of tomorrow.
- Establish strategic partnerships to organize programming workshops throughout the African continent.
The idea of this first edition is to train 20 000 young people. In the medium and long term, in a true inclusive and participative strategy of the African youth, the objective of Simplon.co and its partners is to open trainings to digital professions in French-speaking Africa, to improve the employability of young people and enable them to master e-skills, become key players in the development of Africa and the world of tomorrow.
This week’s official code and digital culture ceremony will be chaired by the Senegalese Minister of Education, Sérigne Mbaye Thiam.
