The Senegalese Momar Nger, who occupied the position of Marketing Director for Africa Middle East of total, becomes the Managing Director of the Marketing & Services branch and member of the Executive Committee of the TOTAL Group. He is the first African to reach such a level of responsibility within the Total group. He becomes the new Managing Director of Total monde marketing et service from April 15, 2016. He will replace Mr. Phillipe Boisseau the outgoing CEO.

Momar Nguer began his career in 1982 in the Financial Department of Hewlett Packard France before joining Total in 1984, where he successively held positions in the downstream sector of the Group. He became Commercial Director of Total Senegal in 1985, then in 1991 served as Network and Consumer Manager for Total in Africa.

Subsequently, he was entrusted with the general management of various Marketing subsidiaries: first Total Cameroon in 1995, then Total Kenya in 1997.
In 2000, he became Director of East Africa and Indian Ocean in the Refining & Marketing branch of Total.
From 2007 to 2011, Momar Nguer held the position of Group General Manager Aviation.
Since December 2011, he has been Director Africa – Middle East of the Marketing & Services branch of Total. He was appointed to the Group Performance Committee in January 2012 and chairman of the Diversity Council on August 1, 2015. Momar Nguer, 59, is a graduate of ESSEC.
Our sources have confirmed that Mr Nguer is currently Managing Director of the Marketing & Services branch and a member of the Executive Committee of the TOTAL Group and not the CEO of Total Monde.
