“In 2017, we managed to bring together more than 400 participants: entrepreneurs, large companies, investors, mentors, public actors and startup enthusiasts. Our balance sheet? approximately 232 individual meetings between our startups and mentors and investors! We were overwhelmed by the positive feedback from all participants. This year, our ambition is to grow and offer a concrete and unique experience to more than 500 participants! Claudia Makadristo, Regional Director for Africa at Seedstars.

The Summit is also an excellent opportunity for the various stakeholders to meet and exchange informally. The Seedstars Expansion Program, organized in partnership with the Office of Economic Affairs and Innovation (SPEI) of the canton of Vaud (Switzerland), in collaboration with Innovaud, CVCI and the Region of Lausanne, supports start-ups in the start-up phase based in the canton of Vaud and helps them to establish themselves in emerging economies with strong growth. Three start-ups from the canton of Vaud will therefore be present at the Seedstars Africa Summit, and will be able to share their experience and their network with the participants, and discuss their expansion project in the region.
