The BMCE Bank of Africa Group is pleased to announce the opening of the 4th edition of the African Entrepreneurship Award which kicked off on March 1st.
The African Entrepreneurship Award illustrates the BMCE Bank of Africa’s ambition to encourage entrepreneurship in Africa by rewarding talent and technology across borders.
The African Entrepreneurship Award was initiated by President Othmane Benjelloun in 2014 on the occasion of the GES Marrakech.
This initiative is intended to support the talents of African entrepreneurs or those from Africa whose ideas promise the promise of a better world. Registrations will close on April 30th.
The editions of the past three years have been dedicated to Education and the Environment. We have received more than 12,000 entries covering 132 countries, coaching 112 candidates, nominating 33 winners, and funding 21 corporate projects.
This year, the African Entrepreneurship Award will reward the best African entrepreneurs in the following two categories: Sport and Innovation. The prize has a million dollars USD.
The first step will be to gather the most useful ideas for the region and will be followed by two others. The selected candidates will then have to promote their project with impactful presentations, before the final selection that will reward the most innovative and sustainable projects.
The selection of projects will be done with the help of the partners of the African Entrepreneurship Award: entrepreneurs, academics, leaders and mentors from all continents who will accompany the candidates at each stage of the contest.
