One of the first Senegalese venture capital funds “Téranga Capital” is the initiative of two men: Omar Cissé and Olivier Furdelle. Its purpose is to promote the country’s start-ups by providing them with funds, so that these young companies can evolve and go beyond the critical start-up phase.
Due to a lack of support, young entrepreneurs are abandoned and their businesses find it difficult to become competitive. It is with this in mind that Omar Cissé, former Director General of CTIC DAKAR and Olivier Furdelle consultant specializing in the financing of African start-ups and SMEs, have joined forces to create the first venture capital fund in Senegal.
