The Senegalese Prime Minister has laid the foundation stone of the African Society of Information Technology Technology Factory at the Technopole.

According to Abdoulaye THIAM, the promoter, “The African Society of Computer Technologies (SATI) is a manufacturing and assembly plant for computer, electronic and telecommunications products. Its design is based on solid industry analysis, market issues and opportunities, government tools and mechanisms, and a solid business plan. ”

This plant is part of a public-private partnership following a need expressed by President Macky SALL. Thus, it will be built in an area of ​​30,000 m2 with more than 1,000 skilled jobs.

For the Prime Minister, “This plant, as stated in its title, will be structured around three components. The first will be the manufacture of motherboards, the second the assembly of computer equipment and the third, the promotion of innovative technological solutions. With an annual production capacity, estimated at more than 400,000 units, made up of computers, smart TVs, decoders, innovative 3D printers, for the health and education sectors among others. “
