Juniors For Madagascar in partnership with Zama organize a recruitment forum to enable companies in Madagascar to recruit the talents of the diaspora in Paris

ZAMA, one of the major events of the Malagasy diaspora, will return for a third edition on July 6, 7 and 8, 2018 at the University of Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, in the Paris region (France). Great novelty of this edition, Juniors Pour Madagascar (JPM) will organize the first recruitment forum aiming to connect the companies based in Madagascar with the talents of the diaspora wishing to return to work in Madagascar.

A recruitment forum dedicated to supporting the return of brains in Madagascar.

The “repats” or “returnees” is an increasingly growing phenomenon in the African continent. This is the “return of brains” in their home country. Through this show, JPM intends to facilitate the movement to allow the talents of the Malagasy diaspora to put their skills at the service of the country: combine professional development with the economic development of Madagascar.

With many success stories, young graduates, first-time professionals and confirmed professionals from the diaspora are more and more numerous to express their desire to return home. But for many, this perspective is unfortunately unclear due to lack of knowledge of the local labor market. Cultural shock, administrative difficulties, economic or relational are all factors of doubt.

This forum will thus create a space for dialogue between companies and candidates for “repats”. It aims to promote the professional integration of the talents of the diaspora. Beyond the organization of a series of hiring interviews, this show wants to establish a real process of accompaniment for the return to the country.

Young people of the Malagasy diaspora: an inexhaustible talent pool

About 500 students and young graduates will be expected to meet, converse and be convinced by a dozen major groups and companies established in Madagascar.

Young people in the diaspora are valued for their level of education, dual culture and international experience. Faced with a private sector announcing “30% of unfilled executive positions, lack of expertise on the market”, the show intends to help cover this gap.

Running of the show

The show will take place on July 6 and 7, 2018 at the University of Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines (UVSQ) 5/7 boulevard d’Alembert 78200 Guyancourt.

The show will be timed: information workshops on companies operating in Madagascar, career opportunities and the state of the market; inspiring conferences of feedback from “repats”;
coaching workshops and direct career advice with recruiters.

How to participate?

Whether you are a candidate for a “repats” or a Malagasy recruiting company, register on http://zama-diaspora.com/zama-paris-2018/forum-recrutement/. JPM will then contact you to finalize your participation.
